2007 Nebraska State 3-Move Open   

Two Nebraska State Open Checkers Tournaments are as follows: A 3-Move Restricted on Saturday, August 18 and a GAYP (freestyle) on Saturday, October 13. Both tournaments will be open class with two groups of players.  You will play two games with everyone in your group (6 or 7 rounds).  The winners of each group will playoff for the championship.  American Legion Post #1, 7811 Davenport St., Omaha, Nebraska.   Entry fee $10.00, Register by 9:00 AM; play will start at 9:30 AM.  Submitted by Dave Stovie, President - Nebraska Checkers Association, 402-541-3534 <> NECheckers@Q.com

•  The attendance was 1 more than last year and the largest field since 1982.

•  The competition was spirited throughout 7 rounds of play

•  Nebraska will hold a State Open GAYP Ty. 10-13 also at the American Legion Post # 1.

•  Results didn't include round by round but recognition is important for the Nebraska Checkers Association.
